A uniquely South African wine festival and the Garden Route's Premier Wine Event will once again be taking place during the Knysna Oyster Festival on the 10th and 11th of July 2017.
The event will showcase up to 50 of South Africa’s best wine producers and promises to be bigger and better than any of our previous events to date. These wines will all be available for tasting and purchasing at special event prices. You can also interact with these acclaimed wine producers and learn about current trends in the industry.
The Knysna Wine Festival, now in its 12th year will be hosted in the official Festival Pavillion, Pick n Pay Knysna Oyster Festival grounds, Waterfront Drive - right in the heart of the festival attractions! Patrons will also receive their tasting glasses, a wine guide and get to mingle with South Africa's wine makers in a sophisticated but relaxed atmosphere.

Venue: At the PAVILION, PICK and PAY OYSTER FESTIVAL GROUNDS, WATERFRONT DRIVE, KNYSNA.
Tickets: Tickets will be available from July 2017 online at www.webtickets.co.za and also directly from Knysna/Sedgefield Tourism and Sublime Clothing at Thesen Island.
Cost: R130 per person and includes a tasting glass and unlimited tastings.
Following the devastating fires in Knysna and the surrounding areas recently, Knysna Tourism has confirmed that the Pick ‘n Pay Knysna Oyster Festival will be going ahead as planned. Speaking on behalf of the sponsors, the Knysna Municipality and the event organisers, board chairperson Elmay Bouwer said that while the Garden Route town suffered extensive damage in the devastating fires, plans for the festival are on track.
Bouwer said that it was heartening to see how South Africans across the country have offered support for those who have lost so much in Knysna. “The festival will be a great opportunity for people who want to help our residents to recover from this disaster and we are looking forward to welcoming a record number of people to our beautiful town.”
