The exclusive Bush Lodge at Hidden Valley Wines in Stellenbosch is an ideal escape for a family or group of friends in search of a luxurious, self-catering haven close to nature. The three-bedroom, six-sleeper, wooden lodges create the impression that they are floating above the olive trees, having been built ever so carefully so as not to disturb the surroundings.
The main lodge consists of an en-suite bedroom with an extra length king size bed, plus kitchen and open-plan living areas. This building is separated from the two-bedroom cottage by a landscaped deck and pool area (complete with sun loungers and a 6-seater outdoor table), overlooking the spectacular west-facing views over the vineyards, olive groves and Table Mountain.
The separate cottage comprises two bedrooms sharing a bathroom with shower. One of these bedrooms consists of an extra length king size bed and the other of twin beds.
The living area offers a lounge, TV (with full DSTV package), a log fireplace as well as a 6-seater dining table. The fully equipped, modern kitchen will ensure a comfortable stay.
Wall-to-wall glass stacked doors open up from the sun lounge onto the stunning pool and deck area. Guests can take time out to relax on the sun loungers whilst a gas braai/BBQ is at their disposal for outdoor cooking.
The exterior of the Bush Lodge is clad in weather-resistant Jarrah timber with matching sliding screens that shield the west-facing doors and windows against the late afternoon sun.
