When new owner, Riaan Stassen, commissioned internationally acclaimed artist and creator, Willie Botha, to create a new icon for the Hidden Valley brand, it lead to an unexpected and exciting new venture in the winelands…
In December 2015 the doors of a new and exclusive sculpture studio opened at Hidden Valley. This sophisticated new addition to our valley has been part of the various projects and upgrades implemented by Riaan, in his quest to create a truly unique experience for visitors to the estate.
Riaan comments: “Memorable experiences are what I have pursued all my life and are the inspiration behind my return to the wine industry at Hidden Valley. My vision is to leave no person unimpressed when they experience the hidden gems we offer, in every respect.”
Guests can now look forward to a luxury sensory experience whilst sitting back and taking in the unique views over Stellenbosch and the peninsula and enjoying our premium wines, food and art. The classical art fragment that has been placed at the entrance of the estate will form a collective experience for visitors and new hidden gems will be “discovered” on our nature trail in the near future. In the meantime, his latest creations can be admired in tranquility in the studio.
